Stayed here on one of the first nights of our honeymoon and couldnt have been happier. Our hosts, Maggie and Malcom, couldnt have been kinder and more welcoming. Their hospitality was only matched by the stunning beauty of their farmhouse and gardens. An easy trip north from Edinburgh and a must stay! Highly recommended...

The Strang Steel's are outstanding hosts at their fabulous home. The food is five star and the accommodation extremely comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble.

Unless you know it is there, you are likely to miss it as it is not on any main road. The house is designed on the lines of an old, large stately house, but with all the modern amenities. The house is situated in the middle of a large farm that extends from the main road (quite far away) to across the hill on the other side. There is also a large garden in front of the house maintained beautifully by Maggie. The rooms are huge and very expensively decorated. The decor is what you would expect in a high end hotel, with high end furniture, silk covered hangers, king size beds, expensive decorated crockery in the rooms, and lots of books all over the house. One could easily mistake it for a library. Breakfast included home made preserves with silver cutlery. Maggie and Malcom appeared to be going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. It is more expensive than a run of the mill B&B but it is in a different class and if you want to indulge yourself you should come and stay here for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of life.
