Fantastic location especially if you have a dog. We stayed for a family do, lovely hotel.
Nice hotel with an old and new part. I prefer the new. The rooms are comfortable with decent water pressure in the shower. No wash clothes and amenities consist of on bottle of liquid soap attached in the shower and near the sink. Not exactly high end. The older part of the hotel is a converted manor house and is classic olde English. The nice grounds attract weddings so it can get noisy. Conference facilities and an on site pool and exercise facilities make this full service. The food is traditional and in my opinion average to average+. The bar has a nice selection of scotch to enjoy.
Big hotel, clean and tidy with very helpful and friendly staff. I was surprised to find no lift in the main building up to the rooms. This concern was for people that required one.
Very pleasant stay. Rooms are big, restaurant was good, staff very friendly. I would stay here again.
Although one of our rooms was next to a noisy shower, our complaint was addressed satisfactorily and did not detract from this delightful hotel, spa and grounds. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast was very good - plenty of choice for everyone.The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice shortbread with the tea making facilities.If you have difficulty with stairs, specify a room on the side with a lift.We will be staying here next time we are in the area.
