Had a consultation with financial adviser Douglas. Very rude and condescending. Frequently spoke over the top of me and interrupted throughout. Contradicted himself, advised me to speak with pension companies direct to acquire information and benefits on current schemes to which i informed him they will not give out that information only impartial advice and then in the same breath he said that's correct as they are not allowed to give out advice. Wasted my time, repeatedly asked me what my purpose here was which was to learn and find out the benefits of each scheme i currently have money in. To which he seemed to not take in and kept referring to transferring of funds from pot to pot and how it would cost 1500 due to my age being under 30. Advised me i should be putting in at least 25% of my salary into my pension but could not give me any information as to why i should do that or what the benefits of doing that would be. In summary he essentially is only interested in extorting people of money without actually encouraging or supporting growth in knowledge with the use of facts or evidence. All in all a very ignorant and condescending man with little people skills. Spectacular waste of a morning.
